Port Congestion Surcharge for Transpacific Trade Eastbound

Dear Valued Customers,
Please be advised with effect from February 7th, 2013, a Port Congestion Surcharge will be assessed to all shipments due to labor unrest, including but not limited to strikes, lock-outs, work stoppages or slow down at any U.S. port(s).   It is scheduled to be charged from December 29th, 2012, but is now postponed to February 7th, 2013.
             USD    800 / 20' Container
             USD 1,000 / 40' Container
             USD 1,125 / 40' High Cube Container
             USD 1,265 / 45' High Cube Container

In the event no labor unrest occurs after the effective date of this rule, this charge shall not be applicable.  Once labor unrest has occurred, this charge shall continue to be assessed until such time as carrier provides notice in this tariff that the impact of the labor unrest on its operations and those of any affected port(s) has ended.
